Advanced suspension

To any bus passenger, a smooth ride is a good ride. (Not to mention the driver!) That's why the Toyota Coaster features independent front suspension with double wishbones and an upper torsion bar. This combination not only makes for happy passengers, it also enhances driver control. Add to that the long tapered leaf springs in the rear, and you've got a comfortable - and stable - bus ride for everyone.

Power & performance

Coaster's 4.0L OHV Turbo diesel engine produces 110 kW of power and 397Nm of torque which makes it easy to pull out from the kerb, overtake on freeways and suitable for towing on long trips away. The Coaster continues to perform when it comes to parking with a tight turning circle of 14.4m making it easy to manoeuvre in tricky situations.
A 4-speed automatic transmission will now be available from August 2007 production on Deluxe models only.
