Improved responsiveness ECB incorporates drive by wire braking technology which uses electrical connections instead of mechanical connections to reduce weight and provide more advanced and reliable responsiveness. ECB not only improves the driving experience with increased responsiveness, but provides improved fuel economy and control benefits, including improved brake-force distribution. |

Improved efficiency Hybrid Camry also uses regenerative braking which recaptures and stores energy normally lost when braking, decelerating or coasting. Hybrid Camry's electric drive motor converts kinetic energy to electrical energy, acting as a generator to charge the batteries while the car is slowing down. Typical driving in city traffic with its endless cycle of stopping and starting, accelerating and decelerating provides the perfect environment to take advantage of regenerative braking. The kinetic energy that is normally lost as heat is converted it into electricity and is stored in the battery. This energy can later be used for low speed use, or an additional power boost, saving fuel for the driver. |
