Locally tuned Electric Power Steering (EPS) and suspension Hybrid Camry's advanced steering and suspension systems have been uniquely tuned for Australian drivers and Australia's harsh and demanding driving conditions. The responsiveness of the new Hybrid Camry gives you greater feel, and a more dynamic drive that has to be experienced to be believed. The improved weight distribution helps ensure meticulous balance and effortless control.

EPS delivers steering precision EPS enhances the driving feel and controllability, delivering superior steering precision, better weighting and increased responsiveness. It provides steering assist control in under-steering and over-steering situations such as when you're cornering on gravel roads, driving in wet conditions or negotiating a tight bend. It also comes into play when you accelerate or brake where the level of grip varies between the right and left-hand wheels. During certain situations, EPS and VDIM through a Cooperative Control function can provide additional steering assistance to the driver, by increasing resistance to an incorrect steering direction, while at the same time increasing assistance in the correct direction. The advanced aerodynamic performance helps the Hybrid Camry reduce both its fuel consumption and produce a whisper quiet cabin experience for driver and passengers.

Suspension designed for Australian road conditions Hybrid Camry also benefits from a locally tuned suspension. This gives it a dynamic feel with better ride and quality comfort that's well suited to Australian roads. Assured balance and poise The new steering and suspension contributes to Hybrid Camry's assured on-road poise. The unique suspension calibration includes revised spring and damper rates, revisions to the stiffness of the suspension support and a revised front stabiliser bar.
