This means both you and your passenger can travel in the comfort of a unique preferred temperature setting. |

Electrically powered air conditioning Hybrid Camry's air conditioning system is uniquely electrically driven and powered by the car's batteries. This maximises fuel efficiency and means that the air-conditioning will continue to operate even when the petrol engine is switched off. Fuel saving Eco Mode When the air conditioning system is in use, Hybrid Camry's innovative Eco mode reduces the load on the engine. This means you don't need to worry about losing efficiency while keeping everyone on board in total comfort. On the heating cycle, the ECO feature limits the number of times the petrol engine is restarted for climate control needs, helping to save fuel. As with the petrol-driven Camry, Hybrid Camry uses the engine coolant to heat the heater core and hence warm the air flowing into the vehicle's ventilation system. But Hybrid Camry can also stop and start its petrol engine according to driving momentum and battery charging needs. Using a fast-acting electric Positive Temperature Coefficient heater to heat air for ventilation needs. On the cooling cycle, the ECO feature limits the air conditioning compressor use based on the temperature inside the car. This reduces the number of engine restarts, helping to save fuel. Meanwhile, when the car is stopped, slowing down or descending a hill, the petrol engine shuts down entirely to save fuel. |
